The reporter’s words
Someone has rammed this barrier to the red zone/ Chardale Street residential area. This is most disturbing, and is the second time in 2 weeks. The gate is broken and the wooden posts and railing broken. This needs to be addressed asap. However the culprits no doubt will do it again. There needs to be a more robust fencing barrier option perhaps metal posts and a stronger lock option. Please address asap as now the barrier is open to boy racers, dumpers and the like just next to the city to sea walkway.Thankyou.
