The reporter’s words

Hi there. More and more cars seem to be parking on the footpath at the Raranga Street shops. The footpath is adjacent to Muka Park and has been considered a safe playing area for children on their bikes, scooters and the like. It is also roght on the basket ball court. I live opposite and see mothers with prams, children, runners and school children walking homebwing forced onto the road on this blind corner. I am a police officer and could potentially issue infringements to each vehicle but feel the beat way forward is prevention through either painting yellow lines or bollards. Pleaee can you look into this before a child gwts run over.
