Roading/Streets

Reported Sunday, 11 April 2021 at 5:55 pm, 177 Saint Albans Street, St Albans, Christchurch 8014, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

Hi, Is anything going to be done about the speeding and amount of traffic that now uses Courtney St and St Albans St since the new roading network changes has been carried out in St Albans. It is now a constant stream of traffic rat running these 2 streets 7days a week, me personally I can't escape the humm of cars on my own property! its also becoming more dangerous trying to get out of our own driveway due to the little penis speedsters that clear ignore speed limits. People are clearly using the roads to bypass Cranford. Its completely unfair that a neighborhood is penalized for the benefit of commuters. Maybe Courtney and Trafalgar could become 1 way or Bicycles and residents only? and St Albans St at a minimum needs to have low noise asphalt and speed calming. Thanks
