Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 10 July 2016 at 2:32 pm, Owles Terrace, New Brighton, 8061, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
There is a 50m stretch of river bank on Owles Tce that is unable to be used by the public due to tree branches that need to be cut back. Often the street here floods and the footpath on the opposite side of the road is under water, so it is necessary to use the riverbank for pedestrian access. Also, there is a walking track around the river, and this section is part of that track. It is impossible for people to walk/run along this section of the bank. You have to go onto the road - which is not safe for people with prams/dogs/children. Could the Council please get Treetech in to cut these branches down so this section of bank is usable?
