The reporter’s words
The resource consent for the preschool (RMA92013448) requires a 2 metre high (minimum) acoustic fence. This was not done initially presumably by agreement with some neighbours. With removal of the red zoned properties the preschool (and definitely not tax or rate payers) should be required to comply with their consent and build a compliant acoustic fence. Due to removal of the houses we are exposed to more noise from the preschool, so their compliance is important to the environment of the residential properties nearby.
