The reporter’s words
These roses in the front of the Marcella Gardens reserve that goes between 47 and 49 Eaglesome Ave through to Dunbars Road are so over grown. We have to keep them cut back off the foot path so the elderly in the area don't trip or get caught in them. In our 16 years in our house they have been cut twice. We are not going to do any more trimming, so if the elderly almost blind man trips and small children in the area get caught it is your problem now. We have asked garden workers to cut them, but they all say not our job, well its not our job either. If we left the roses over the years people couldn't walk past. Health and safety would then come into it. It needs to be sorted.
