Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 2 August 2021 at 11:55 am, Deans Avenue, Christchurch, Canterbury, 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This right turn read arrow light is very badly timed. Much of the time there was no traffic coming from the Riccarton Road direction and the red light arrow is on. Just as traffic arrives from Riccarton Road direction, they get a red light and the arrow goes green. It will be much better if a filter Right turn were available as well. The red light could stay on for a short time and go off so drivers can make the decision to turn if they can. This is not a high-speed area and there’s plenty of visibility, so tuning in this way should not be dangerous. Can you please look into this (even in off peak would be better)
