The reporter’s words

This intersection was excavated as part of underground services repairs. The surface was poorly restored and has potholed constantly for the past few months. The repeated repairs have all been of poor quality and new potholes reappear within days - this has happened several times in last few months. The intersection is covered in loose stones which are hazardous to cyclists and make braking difficult in a car which could lead to an otherwise avoidable collision. The stones also get flicked up by cars and strike pedestrians and parked cars. The intersection needs to be properly prepared and properly re-sealed to stop the continuous potholes and associated safety risks. The whole area has never been properly tidied up after the recent works. Loose chips from the reseal are still present along Croyden street. This makes cycling in this area hazardous and unpleasant.
