Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 21 September 2021 at 10:13 am, Middleton, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The plumbing supplies store Harrison Bloy repetitively blocks both the footpath and the turning lane with vehicles. In one of my pictures you can see a truck parked totally on the footpath with the tailgate down. There is a forklift driving between the warehouse and the truck unloading. This leaves pedestrians either walking through the path of the forklift or walking on the road at a busy junction. I have tried to turn a blind eye, but it repetitively occurs. It is inconvenient and potentially dangerous. Note, these pictures were taken on 13th July 2021. But I encounter the exact same situation regularly when walking at lunchtime on weekdays.
