The reporter’s words

To whom it may concern, We have lived at this property for 25 years and every year about this time, we have major issues with this very tall tree from the adjacent Highsted Reserve. I have included "the big picture" as well as close-ups of the tree "droppings" on our shared driveway. The little worm-like structures in the close-up are sticky and smelly and if left on parked cars, ruin the paintwork. They are also easily brought inside the house on footwear or bare feet, and leave an unsightly yellow stain on the vinyl and carpet. They are like a strong adhesive and we have not found anything which can remove the stain. There are two such trees in the reserve and I am writing to request that one or both of these be removed. These droppings would also ruin the clothing of any park visitors who sit on the grass under these trees. We would appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Kind regards Nicki and Pat Davison 255 Sawyers Arms Road Bishopdale Christchurch 8053 nicki_davison@hotmail.com
