The reporter’s words
It is impossible to turn off the water supply because the tap is too close to the casing around the tap. This is an issue if we need to shut off water supply in a hurry in case of emergency such as burst pipes or leakage, but also now as I have a leaking tap I can't fix without turning off the supply.
