Roading/Streets
Reported Wednesday, 17 November 2021 at 9:50 am, 84, Heaton Street, Strowan, Canterbury, 8052, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The footpath by 86 Heaton Street, in essence a construction site, has been dug up and left in a dangerous state. My granddaughter coming home from school on her scooter tripped on the rough finish and ended up falling over and skinning her knees. She was lucky she did not hurt herself more seriously. Please have this hazard remedied immediately. As this is a work site accident should the matter be reported to Worksafe by the council or should I report myself. Further there is also a similar situation on the footpath in Idris Road which has been dug up and left in a rough state for months. I have regularly seen women with prams or elderly people struggling to get past the site
