Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 30 November 2021 at 11:35 am, Thornaby Close, Canterbury 8053, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This is a bike-circulated area, connecting Teesdale with the subdivision and the wairakey road going to city centre. There is a power pole right in the middle of the footpath, right in the way of the cyclists. There are also mothers with trolleys, and kids travelling to and from school on the same footpath First of all, I don't understand how it was even possible to approve leaving the footpath this way, and second how is it still there as I personally hurt myself a coupe of time trying to squeeze between the pole and the bushes. This corner is wrongly arranged and definitely not fit for purpose or to the standards. Please review the pole location. Even if you are a pedestrian and it's still a problem for traffic. Thank you
