Wastewater/Stormwater
Reported Tuesday, 14 December 2021 at 5:28 pm, 27, Swanns Road, Richmond, Canterbury, 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Collapsed ground, slump over old sewer lateral on our property. When the e one sewer was installed on the property it is suspected that the old lateral was not abandoned correctly when SCIRT installed this. A small flood from stormwater has caused a sink hole to open up above the abandoned lateral. The old ww pipe needs to be excavated and capped with concrete. The sink hole is very close to a house pile that will need to be protected.
