The reporter’s words
Te Kararo Kararo Reserve requires some attention / maintenance. The pop up sprinklers aren’t working properly - hence the very small green patches (and the watering of the basketball court) It’s mowed very infrequently. Most of the ‘grass’ is yarrow or dandelion so it’s tall and has a very weedy appearance. The gardens have very few plants & trees anymore because of the contractors’ spray drift and subsequent removal of the dead plants. It’s the only open park space south of New Brighton - it’s popular for picnics, BBQ, games & beach access and it’s looking neglected! Thanks!
