My client Ursula from 91 Huntsbury Rd has called us in to deal with very wet basement area of her house. There is pooling water that has resulted in damage to her floor that has been ripped out. It looks to have been going on from a long time. When visiting the property I found evidence of fresh water in the channel above the property. The water runs down the channel and disappears at the many cracks in the concrete. I believe that this water is at he source of the water / damage at 91 Huntsbury I have checked the three adjacent toby boxes and there does not appears to be a water leak on the private side. Note it is 1.5 days since rain and the rest of the road and channel is clear of water (apart from directly across the road where there is a constant slow drop from the SW pipe at 30…also the channel concrete is cracked and water is draining to ground through the cracks). I think there is two issues. 1. Water leak from CCC water mains 2. Cracks in concrete channel allowing water to drain to the subsurface and into my clients property.
