Roading/Streets
Reported Thursday, 10 February 2022 at 3:05 am, 78, Maidstone Road, Ilam, Canterbury, 8041, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Cars (usually 4 wheel drives) are frequently parked so close to the driveway of this psychology clinic, that it is not possible to see traffic coming and is therefore unsafe to pull out. The footpath is not flat, which means cars end up down even lower which obstructs vision further. Is it possible to put yellow lines on this section of road so that cars leaving this location can safely see oncoming vehicles? There would be approximately 20-25 vehicles coming and going from this location daily and I’ve witnessed and experienced several near misses due to the lack of visibility.
