The reporter’s words

Our lake in the subdivision has had little floating marker buoys for about a year now. I always thought they may belong to the council for water quality or fish monitoring purposes but no, I found out they are used for miniature yacht racing. I don't want to complain about them necessarily but I have never seen yachts on the lake (although my neighbours have occasionally) and was wondering what the rules are on this. They are fugly and spoil the look but I also understand the need for recreation. Were you aware they are there and I am interested in your thoughts. Thank you.
