The reporter’s words
Why doesnt the CCC stop using glass in bus stops?? What a waste of rate payers money!! I have complained about this for years and still glass goes in and glass gets broken. How about sheets of metal with small hole cut out so you can see the bus approaching? Or a perplex window in metal? This blatant spending on unnecessary and preventable damage needs to be cut from the budget, saving thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) If this job cost $500 to fix and Chch has, say, four bus stop with broken glass a day on average that’s a total of $730, 000 per year!!! Sort it please!!!
