The reporter’s words
There's dirty nappies, fishing line and broken bottles and general rubbish with closed toilets at our war memorial. There's no service in chch so the head of the RSA has said all should seek out local memorials to pay respects. I think it's a HUGE DISRESPECT BY CCC that despite reminders in January and February and Friday that there's a terrible lack of care by CCC to make the environment tidy and honourable for those who will see in the rising of the sun to remember them. I just did some weeding with an army servicemen and his son, after doing some art the local RSA gave permission to do. CCC was in media for it's failures in NB last year for the service and this year it's still the same. Shame on you!
