Sewer - General

Reported Monday, 23 May 2022 at 9:52 pm, 153 Waltham Road, Sydenham, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

We have recently had sewer works completed by the council outside our office at 153 Waltham Road. Ever since the work starter, the water level in our toilet has been sitting high and it nearly overflows when we flush. It was competely fine before this and we have never had any previous issues with it. It only started when the work started, so we thought it would correct itself once they had finished. Unfortunately this is not the case. It has not returned to normal. We have had a plumber out who has check everything our end just in case it was a blockage. He has done what ge could but said we require a drainlayer should it not come right. I can not recall the contractors who completed the work, but they.were there for approx 6 weeks. It is like something has not been switched back and the water can not flow away. As we require use of our toilet on a daily basis, and it is near to overflowing, this now appears to be a health risk to my staff and clients. If this could please be checked out asap, that would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Gina Russell 0276993250
