Vandalism - General

Reported Tuesday, 2 August 2022 at 9:17 am, 127 Clarence Street, Riccarton, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

The new aluminum protection barrier erected around the flood gate beside the Kaiapoi River at the east end of Lineside Road is being destroyed and removed AGAIN. The barrier has been erected recently and is made of aluminium, as was the previously one. It is a waste of time and money constructing this barrier from aluminium, as due to it's value it will only be destroyed, removed and sold whenever you do so. My suggestion would be that you remove the existing structure immediately and replace it with a galvanized steel one, and steel isn't as valuable and is much stronger than aluminum. Regards Murray
