Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 9 May 2017 at 8:08 pm, 774, Avonside Drive, Avonside, 8061, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
The recent road repair / reconstruction on Avonside Dr between Torlesse St and Kerrs Rd has started to fail in patches. A large part of the shoulder / edge of the live traffic lane on the north side of Avonside Dr, opposite Avon Park, has worn away. This is a minor safety issue for cyclists who are forced around this (or into it) and towards the traffic. Lightening is poor on this section, making this worn section difficult to see at night and contributing to problems for cyclists.
