The reporter’s words

The green plastic mesh used to 'pave' parking areas along Aynsley Terrace has perished. Countless pieces of plastic are being pushed into the riverbank, and more are being washed into the river. In my opinion this is an environmental disaster. I walk past every week picking up bits of plastic but every week there are more. Everytime a car parks on it, it breaks up. The white baiting season opens in a week and this area will be destroyed even more over the next two months by their big trucks. I have rung ECan to report this & was asked to do a SSS. Please can this be remedied before more pieces of plastic are washed out into the river.
