Park - General Request

Reported Monday, 29 August 2022 at 10:19 am, 39 Walton Street, Sydenham, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

Walkway from Taylor’s mistake Rd, directly Across the road from Nicholson park, which Leads to Taylor’s mistake is overgrown with Vegetation & the boundary fences are broken which means that people can wander into the Private property areas surrounding. The track has no shingle on the pathways & requires some maintenance & upgrading This area used to be so stunning & beautiful prior to the earthquakes as you could use the Walkway from whitewash head Rd behind properties which had bench seats & was regarded as a public walkway & is now gone, Due to cliff subsiding . Boundary fences are not sufficient for public safety. There is a sign up which notifies the public of a dog missing since November 2021, which could have disappeared over a cliff? Due to lack of Safe boundary fences surrounding the walkway & site. Public walkway no longer has the stunning area With the seating, which people used to walk their dogs etc, so sad, this has disappeared.
