Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Saturday, 10 September 2022 at 9:44 pm, Kennard Track 30 Long Street, Woolston, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There were several deliberately lit fires around this spot in early August. The firefighters mentioned there was a lot of dry bush in the area that would be a fire hazard in the summer. Would it be possible to proactively remove as much of the dry material as possible so any fires are less likely to spread? I also understand that a landscaping plan is being developed for the river frontage of the adjacent property (320a Cumnor Tce) as part of a resource consent need. Is there an opportunity to make improvements to reduce fire risk as part of that?
