Regarding the already reported Job no. 92301159 I would like an update on the status of this job and repair. The attached images were taken last week during fibre install works. Proper draining of stormwater is not occurring from our property to the stormwater drain outside no. 408 which drains into the nearby river. The drain appears to be level or below the surrounding gutting and as such stormwater is remaining on the ground around the guttering for some time after rainfall. This represents a health and safety issue for the community and local children. The neighbouring community expects to see action taken on the above as a priority. We all pay significant rates but are not getting our fair share of resource allocated. Furthermore our community is unsatisfied with council operations in our area, the pedestrian access between this end of Cashmere Road and Westmorland is limited and poorly maintained on the corner of Henderson road and Cashmere Road with leaves and debris covering the footpath which restricts persons with mobility issue and prams. And specifically in our small section of Cashmere Road that diverts off from the main road body to a smaller road to our homes. Road sweepers very rarely attend this section of Cashmere Road and it is left to local people to remove vast qtys of leaves so that the river storm water drains are free of blockages etc. I look forward to some advice regarding timeframe on the above so I can inform our community.
