The reporter’s words
Hi. I couldn’t find the correct category for this so just chose a random one. The large area of vacant land behind our property has head high grass which is starting to dry out and therefore creating a significant fire hazard. The land is the site of the old Glenelg health camp and school, and is now vacant land in front of the new health camp. After the wet spring and now warm month the grass has grown very high. I am very concerned about fire risk after the events of last year - if a fire took hold there then our house would be hard to protect. I wonder if this grass could be cut to reduce risk of fire. I have no idea who owns it to speak to so hope you can help there. Thanks for your help.
