Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 15 January 2018 at 3:08 pm, 31, Pacific Road, North New Brighton, 8083, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
There is a sink hole that has developed under the footpath outside #31 Pacific Rd. There is clearly a hole or something in the stormwater system adjacent to the footpath which is causing the loss of material under the footpath. The whole footpath has been undermined at this location and needs to be made safe immediately. This has been reported 2 months ago and the problem has still not been fixed - it has only got worse. Clearly two people have already stepped onto the asphalt footpath and sunk through into the void below. It is only a matter of time before someone gets injured here.
