Rubbish/Recycling
Reported Thursday, 25 January 2018 at 7:46 pm, Sumner, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Sumner esplanade is a mess. Photo 1 is of 2 rubbish bins by cave rock at 8.30am Thursday morning following Wednesday’s busy beach day . Photo 2 shows the same bins 7.30pm today Thursday. Note the bins were not emptied. The same cans, umbrella, discarded body board. It’s disgusting! The rubbish left like this blows all over the beach. Come on - this is a tourist hot spot but looks like the local rubbish dump. Why are the bins not being emptied every day?
