Fallen Tree
Reported Friday, 29 December 2023 at 6:14 pm, 10 Euan Sarginson Place, Diamond Harbour 8971, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Large branch fell from old pine tree (one of 5) on Marine Drive Church Bay, about 100mitres before 179 Marine Drive coming from Christchurch. Branch completely blocked road. The wind at the time was light. The first vehicle to stop was that on Mr Allan Falls of James Drive. Can act as witness. There appear to be a lot of dead branches in all the pine trees and the fifth one has died completely over the last two months, so that could become a hazard in the future
