Grass on riverbank between Torless Street and Ngarimu Street has not been mowed in over 6 weeks. Grass and weeds are now over 0.5m high in places. The grass that grows here grows fast and this should be mowed every 2 weeks to keep on top of it. When it is left so long between cuts, the grass and weeds seed and fill our houses. Grass is harder to mow when it is so long so the contractors do a poor job. Rate payers deserve better. Also when the grass is long it encourages people to dump rubbish.
