Corn seeds with an unknown substance coating have been found on DoC land on Kaitorete spit. The seeds have also been found on private property neighbouring. Possibly toxic substance being distributed into environment without any notifications. Suspected to have caused harm to pet on private residence. No publicly funded agency, group, trust operating on the spit have come forward with any useful information or offer of support.
