Street Gutters / Storm Water
Reported Friday, 29 March 2024 at 10:25 am, 22 Jeffreys Road, Fendalton, Christchurch 8052, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Jeffreys Road entrance to Jeffreys Reserve: With heavy trucks and machinery using this entrance during the Jeffreys Park Pumping Station construction, the kerbside guttering has slumped and broken. At the break there is a 5cm drop that dams water and prevents it reaching the nearby sump. Water backs up at the park entrance and along the street across the driveways at 24 and 26 Jeffreys Road. During rainfalls this reaches a width of about 3 metres, and it takes weeks to evaporate.
