Road Blockage
Reported Friday, 12 April 2024 at 8:30 am, 2A Curletts Road, Sockburn, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This morning police attended 2 vehicle breakdowns on Yaldhurst Road caused by the depth of flooding at this intersection. Autumn leaf fall has obstructed the drainage and despite rainfall being moderate caused an obstruction to the full left turn lane and footpath about 8-10 inches deep. Police discovered and able to wave down a city waterways person who was able to clear drain. Took 6 minutes to resolve. Flooded onto residents drive as indicated by leaf matter. More prevention clearing required
