Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Sunday, 28 April 2024 at 5:48 pm, 52 Sparks Road, Hoon Hay, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
My property borders the Heathcote where is passes Te Waimokihi, Pioneer. From the riverbank I am undergoing an attack by the invasive plant species Tradescantia fluminensis. This has been ongoing for a while but I didn’t previously realise the extent of the infestation. It has got to a point where it’s totally unmanageable for myself. As well as completely enveloping the riverbank it has spread right across my garden. I no longer have the ability to keep it at bay and need help removing it.
