The reporter’s words
We have received notice of road closures next week which will have severe impacts on the community. Many children will not be able to get to school or be picked up. A number of residents work from home and their businesses will be affected as they cannot access their homes during the day. The road closure is unlawful. There was no consultation and it unfairly discriminates against parents and people with working hours outside of 8am to 5pm. The roadworks can be done on a single lane at a time.
