The reporter’s words

Te Temporary Traffic Management Northbound cycle lane on Rossall St has been coned off due to works on the footpath at cnr with Holmwood. Strangely, there is no work on site and footpath is passable (footpath closed sign which was in use on Friday has been taken down and is within work site fence). Why is cycle lane left closed over weekend when no work being done? If this was a general traffic lane, would TMP allow it to remain closed whilst no work on (or next to) closed lane? Not impressed
