Reported Tuesday, 28 May 2024 at 9:46 pm, 293A Cranford Street, St Albans, Christchurch 8052, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The pedestrian crossing lights on Cranford Street near McFaddens Road are faulty. Relates to the lights on the west side. The lights never switch to the green cross phase for pedestrians. Occurred when people on both sides pressing the button and were standing under the sensor. At 5:15pm it was impossible to cross Cranford Street. Fault verified again at 9:10pm. Likely be a problem for school children crossing in the morning. May need Police to control traffic to allow pedestrians to cross.
