Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Tuesday, 4 June 2024 at 10:51 am, 87 Waimakariri Road, Harewood, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There are two sections of Waimakariri Road from Whitchurch Place to 87 Waimakariri Road where the trees are so tall they block the sun for several months. The road becomes very icy if there has been rain, causing skidding. There is also lichen growing on the road also evidence of no sun. It also gets extremely cold in these sections which do not get any sun. The footpath nearest Whitchurch Place gets no sun at all. Trees are much higher than the power poles.
