Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 13 August 2018 at 11:51 am, 126, Hackthorne Road, Cashmere, 8022, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Hi, the intersection between dyers pass road and hackthorne rd is very dangerous. Cars are constantly speeding past with no regard for the numerous people crossing between the shops/ cafes. My wife works at one of these shops and says there are always close calls between cars and cyclists and pedestrians. The intersection also acts as a burnout area most nights as seen by the tire marks in the photos keeping people up. Can I suggest the council look at putting speed humps on either side of the shops on dyers pass road and on hackthorne road to slow cars down and avoid someone getting injured or killed by these speeding cars. Thanks.
