Park - General Request
Reported Sunday, 30 June 2024 at 5:02 pm, 7B Kibblewhite Street, New Brighton, Christchurch 8061, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This is beach access at Jervois Street down sandhill to the beach. The wooden planks one uses for easy access have nearly been completely covered with sand. The council, in the past, lifted these up by their connecting chains and laid them on top of the sand periodically. These access ways are all along the beach and now the council has forgotten about them. Such a waste of money to abandon them. They make it easier for people with mobility issues.
