Roads - General

The reporter’s words
Sometime last year a stretch of Riverlaw Terrace was graded, removing the grass down to the soil. The stretch is from just in on the corner of St Martins & Riverlaw down to Clayton Pl. Since then it has been left to become muddy, silt is washing into the river, and the grass is very slowly re-growing. What was the purpose of this exercise? To me it appears to be a completely pointless and wasteful exercise, and I would appreciate it if someone could please fill me in about what the plan is
