The reporter’s words

This morning Wed 22 Aug... an unmanned steel tracked wheel lawn mower tractor chewed up a very large area of perfectly beautiful grassed lawn in Francis Park. Shocking to all who saw what was happening couldn’t believe it!!!! It’s now a bit like a chewed up farmers paddock. Delta people were at the park at the time tidying up shrubs etc. and refused, when asked, to give the name of someone to contact....the lawn mowing supervisor or contractor, or anyone they could contact to get it stopped or at least report it. Not good enough.! This mower tractor had no wheels just tank like metal traction... What an absolute mess they’ve made to the park especially near the children’s play area and tennis court.... Question...Why did the usual lawnmower tractor man not just mow the park like usual... Westmorland parks are usually mowed well... We would be grateful if you would keep us advised of what’s going on, why, and the consequences of this destruction of our park please. Regards Lyn Bailey Westmorland Residents Association.
