Pavement - General
Reported Friday, 26 July 2024 at 5:38 pm, 330R Springs Road, Hornby, Christchurch 7676, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Cycleway/motorway security fence. The self tapper screws have sheared and the fence had swung into cycleway which was difficult to see in dark causing crash hazard to users. Temp wire used to hold back in place. I have noticed along entire cycleway into city the same issue of sheared screw heads and loose panels which is not only hazard to users but potentially children accessing onto motorway. A survey along fence line required as there seems to be a flaw with the screws used (overtorqued?)
