The reporter’s words

This manhole steel cover is something to do with water supply. About 18months to 2 years ago there was a major leak from this area. Your people came and fixed it but never finished it off and it has been like this ever since. One day someone will fall into this and break a leg or something even worse and then I am sure Health and Safety will want to know why you have left it this dangerous state. This is at the main north entrance to Sheldon park - Belfast school drop off - Belfast service centre - swimming pool - Belfast Bowling Club Belfast Rugby Club and several other sports club and users. And while I have your attention the state of this driveway is nothing short of dangerous with major potholes on both sides which cause cars to drive up the centre and anyone walking including the young school children have nowhere to walk. This too is an accident waiting to happen and I know you have already been informed of this situation so I would not think you would have much of an argument if an accident did happen. I await your reply. Regards Eric Allison 021627671 Email e.allison@xtra.co.nz
