The reporter’s words
Every time it rains we get this picture of clay soil washing (forming a stream) down the road. In bad rain events this river of clay will go all the way down the hill to the hairpin bend below it aproxamitly 40-50 meters. It blocks the gutter and drain pipe so any rain ends up using the road. In the same corner the road has slumped several times and been patched up but the sump keeps coming back.
