Poles and Signage - General
Reported Tuesday, 17 September 2024 at 9:08 pm, Cranford St near Berwick St, Canterbury 8014, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Waiting to cross road when metro bus hit the pedestrian crossing light pole outside English Park at 3.05pm on 17 Sep as it was moving back into traffic (bus did not stop). There was a school bus parked in front of the metro bus causing it to block the crossing when it was stopped. Traffic light is now bent the wrong way (twisted approx 90 degrees) and pieces broke off which almost hit myself and my young children. Needs to be fixed quickly for the safety of school kids crossing.
