Kia ora, I noticed some large deciduous trees have been planted beside the Hansen Park playground. I worked very hard to communicate to the council via the Park ranges over the last two years that the need from the community was for shelter from the easterly winds. We also requested that native trees planted in this area and that the community be engaged in the planting. Thank you so much for planting the Totora tree, it looks magnificent.
