The reporter’s words

Since when did the council employ a blind person to mow the river bank? Sorry a blind person would have probably done a better job. There has been so much missed and it is all uneven. It is like this all the way along the river from the Dallington bridge to the Wainoni shops. I see the Avon loop by Fitzgerald avenue has been cut last week also and someone has done a nice job. I think it is really disappointing that the river bank where no one lives or pays rates is left pristine and the river bank opposite rate payers has had a terrible job done. If this was your house or your hair you would refuse to pay the gardener/hairdresser. We pay rates and just because we live a bit further east doesn't me we don't love our city or take pride in where we live. The council should do the same. Since the earthquakes we are lucky to get the bank mowed 3/4 times a year, at least do a good job. The weeds are about to seed and all those seeds blow into our houses. Graeme Edwards
